NONSENSE WORDS

Where’s Waldo

What’s the meaning?
Just another cliché
But does it make sense?
Does it ever?
Who what where when why
Always needing answers
Never find anything,
But never stop asking.
Lost in the a storm,
Wind whirling debris
Impossible to find clarity.

The piano keeps me in rhythm.
Moving along with the song
Written for me to play out.
Just a sad song with nothing to say.
Thespians with parts to play,
Some are the lead, some are the tree.
Why me? Why this? Why that?
Unscripted questions,
No scripted answers.
Stick to the script! ACTION!
But who wrote the script?
Did you write your script,
Or just acting it out?
Is it too late for a rewrite?
Storm off the stage,
Charge into battle
Armed with your pen,
Challenge the writers
Create your own play.
But perhaps, this gesture
was the will of the writer?

Five thousand cardboard pieces,
can come together and recreate art.
Another puzzle to solve,
Life’s filled with many.
Sip endlessly the endless coffee cups,
Eyes are wide and lost in skies of blue.
Consumed with solving the jigsaw puzzle,
Perplexed at angry at lack of progression.
Should we tell him that some pieces are missing?

POETRY IN MOTION

That's what my blog title means, it's Latin.

Hi y'all.  I haven't posted in a long time.  I've been working on some big projects.  So be excited, and watch for news.

In the mean time I'd just like to write about a few things...

Wait no I don't...

Okay, here's a poem to share with your lady friend...

I hate to be crass
But I need to say
That you have an ass
That I stare at all day

I like your new top
Is it new from the store?
It makes your eyes pop
But looks better on my floor

Roses are red
Violets are blue
In my bed
Is where I want you

Excuse me while I workout and flex
But let's skip dinner and just have sex

........
That was my favorite poem ever...

GUESS WHAT IT'S ABOUT???

This Isn’t About Sex

Voluptuous temptress,
I yearn for thee.
Overcome by the fire
Of my Burning desire
I attempt to still my mind
But alas, I cannot forget you
And your saucy richness
Or your steamy goodness.
Your intoxicating aroma
Overwhelms my senses,
And I crave nothing more
Than to dive right into
Your heavenly body.
I’d start with a nibble
To savor the moment
But I cannot resist
Going straight to the finish
One bite of pure deliciousness
And I’m hooked forever.
Oh I know how terrible
You are for my health
But all the good things in life
End up killing us anyway.
So tonight I dine
And forget tomorrow
Because all that matters
Is this one moment
Of pure pleasure.

I Make Awesome Titles...

It’s Certainly Not the Bus…

So what is it you’re waiting for?
If you’re waiting for some clarity,
Then you’ll be waiting for eternity
Because things will never make sense.

If you’re waiting for things to be perfect,
Then you’ll be waiting ‘til the end,
‘Cause we live in an imperfect world;
Perfection only exists in our minds

If you’re waiting for me to pick up the pieces,
Then baby you’ll be waiting for a miracle,
Cuz I’m far too tired to waste time,
Trying to fix what’s far too broken.

If you’re waiting for me to save the day,
Then you’ll be waiting for what’s not coming,
Cuz I cannot be your Superman,
I cannot pick you up this time around.

If you’re waiting on what I have to say,
Then baby, today’s your lucky day
Cuz I’ve been biting my tongue far too long
Time for me to pack up and hit the road

If you’re waiting for something to happen,
Then I suggest you end your waiting game
I’m done playing the game nobody wins,
Patience was never my greatest virtue

I’ve been down this road before
Now I’m choosing a new path,
Taking the road less traveled by
And I doubt I shall ever look back

If you decide to come along for the ride
Then come aboard and be my partner in crime

I Just Woke Up from One...

Rise and Shine

The walls are caving in
The ground is giving way
My world has come crashing,
Crashing to my feet

Faced with dire circumstance
It's time to rise and fight
Or fade into the background
and forever be forgotten

My time is running out
I have to choose my path
And so I took a nap
For I was very tired

So in the off chance that someone is actually reading my new poetry blog, I was doing some thinking about it.  I am going to futilely pose a question to my "readers"  that I would actually love, and be amazed, for some honest feedback.

I'm trying to decide if I should post a brief explanation behind the meaning or mindset behind each poem, give you guys some background information.  Oooorr would you rather me just give you the poem and then you take stabs at meaning.  And then comment about what you think I'm saying, what it's about...

Frankly, I'll be amazed if I get one response.

FIRST POST!!!!!

Good evening fair people of this world!  How are you all tonight?  Me?  I'm great!  Or something... I don't know ask me in 10 minutes...

Anyways, welcome all to my newest attempt at blogging!  This one is dedicated toward my poetry and other forms of creative writing.  And maybe personal tangents but I will try to keep it to purely the creativity.

I'd like to dedicate this post and this blog to my Dad, without him, none of this would be possible.  Truly a great man in every sense and he is missed dearly.  Taken too soon.  I try to honor him in everything I do.

Which is a perfect segway into the first poem that I will be sharing with you all, titled:

 "Honor Thy Father"

You gave me so many things
You taught me so much more
How can I ever repay you?
How can I ever thank you?

You taught me the importance
Of things like respect and dignity
“Treat everyone with kindness
And be a good Christian”

All the simple pleasures in life
That I love so passionately
Are all thanks to you
And everything you gave me

Whether it’s a round of golf
Or just watching the game
Everything is because of you
Everything reminds me of you

And because of this
You are never truly gone
In my heart you will stay
The heart that you made

I will try to say thank you
By living every day
In honor of the you
The one I owe everything

You may be gone now
But death cannot take you away
You are my father
And I will honor you,

Always… All ways.
